Royal London needed to optimize testing across multiple countries to mitigate ongoing issues with a software implementation. As Test Manager, developed strategy to improve team collaboration & thoroughness of testing. Provided 3rd party suppliers with early view of test cases; created entry gates; included additional regression testing into test plan scope; assigned BA to test team; and engaged business to review test coverage & evidence/achieved sign-off. Succeeded in driving efficiency of the business readiness team & reducing number of outstanding live defects to allow a focus on propositional change.
Case 2
Capita Mortgage Solutions needed to test multiple legacy products on a new server architecture as a result of a major infrastructure project. As Senior Test Analyst, tested application before Microsoft removed support for in use apps. Confirmed areas that needed to be proven to work; created detailed test plans; created reusable regression suite for apps; set up risk assessments with key stakeholders; and ensured agreed approach for UAT in place. Succeeded in fully completing the required work ahead of support removal to mitigate client risk & with test collateral left in place for future migrations.
Case 3
Welsh Water needed to test their new MI & correspondence systems to ensure regulatory compliance. As Test Lead, led comprehensive testing of the new systems. Assembled key business user team for correspondence system UAT; fed back revisions for planned BPM solution; designed MI testing for automated test pack; ensured full user journey dashboard testing; planned production servers testing; and reported on progress to key stakeholders. Succeeded in saving 200+ man days of effort with the new system contributing to Welsh Water being recognized as the highest rated Utility company in the UK.
